2026 Climate Action Fund - Now Open

We've selected 10 Central Texas nonprofits for our next round of climate grants. New community donations matched 1:1 up to $100,000.

Who we are

The Central Texas Climate Philanthropy Collaborative was created by a group of volunteers to bring together donors and non-profits to drive greater philanthropic capital toward high-impact climate solutions in our region. We believe that climate change affects all aspects of our community, including physical infrastructure, health outcomes, and educational progress. Through collaborative action and strategic partnerships, we’re building a more resilient future for Central Texas.

What we do

The Central Texas Climate Action Fund supports local organizations that are leading the way to climate resilience in Texas. Since launching in 2024, the fund has raised over $257,000 from more than 60 individual donors and distributed grants to more than 15 nonprofits working on climate in Central Texas. Each year, we select 5 - 10 organizations through a review process led by climate experts and community members. New donations to the fund are matched 1:1 by the fund organizers. The total match pool is $100,000, shared across all donations.

2026 Climate Action Fund Partners

The organizations work across three key areas:

Energy and Built Environment, Natural Systems and Land Use, Community Resilience, Equity, and Education.

Each organization was reviewed by a panel of subject matter experts and community stakeholders to ensure funding supports effective, equitable, and locally relevant solutions.

Donations are now open. All contributions made through June 30 with go directly to the 2026 Action Fund Partners. All donations will be matched up to $100,000.‍ ‍

We unite diverse stakeholders across Central Texas to:

  • Share knowledge and best practices in climate-focused philanthropy

  • Identify and support high-impact local climate initiatives

  • Build a broader community of climate-aware philanthropists

  • Drive innovative funding approaches for climate action

“Thank you to all of you! I hope that people not only in Central Texas, but throughout the country start to recognize the importance of taking action now! They say that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second best time is right now. So hopefully, this fund helped to at least plant a few seeds. Our planet needs us all to do our part, now more than ever. So thank you again for creating this fund. I look forward to seeing philanthropy in this arena grow.”
