2026 Climate Action Fund FAQ

  • The overall goal of the Climate Action Fund is to increase climate philanthropy in Central Texas. In order to encourage new donors to support climate issues, we simplify the decision making by selecting and highlighting a cross section of organizations working on climate in the region. Funds raised from the community will be aggregated and awarded based on a review process by both climate experts and community members. New donations to the fund will be matched 1:1 by the fund organizers. The total match pool is $100,000, shared across all donations. A short list of 5-10 organizations will be selected and promoted in a community fundraising campaign. Grant amounts will be determined by the review process and total funds raised.
